The transnational activities will take place in Leuven and West Flanders on Tuesday, 6 October 2026. Participants can choose between two parallel study visits and peer learning sessions, each taking place in a different region of Flanders and offering a distinct programme.
Study visit to Leuven –WISEs
Main target group: Although this activity is open to all social enterprises, the programme is primarily designed for work integration social enterprises (WISEs), as well as their enabling organisations and policymakers.
Programme: Visit ViTeS, one of Flanders' major WISEs, to discover how circular economy activities create meaningful employment opportunities for workers with support needs. In the afternoon, explore Flanders Make, where cutting-edge manufacturing technologies are developed and demonstrated in collaboration with WISEs to support more inclusive and productive workplaces through digital innovation.
Study visit to West Flanders – Services for Persons with Disabilities
Main target group: Although this activity is open to all social enterprises, the programme is primarily designed for social enterprises providing services to persons with disabilities, as well as their enabling organisations and policymakers.
Programme: Visit the Groep Gidts campus to discover innovative approaches to inclusive care, education, employment and assistive technologies through interactive demonstrations and client testimonies. In the afternoon, visit Viro to explore innovative approaches to inclusive housing, community participation, supported employment and services for people with disabilities.

Register
Participants may attend only one of the two transnational DIGIT-ABLE activities. During registration, they will be asked to choose between the study visit to Leuven and the study visit to West Flanders.
Register (organisations outside Flanders)
Interested participants can register until 31 August 2026. Applicants will be informed of the outcome between 7 and 11 September 2026 and, if selected, will be asked to confirm their participation by 18 September 2026.
Participants from organisations based in Flanders should register using a separate registration form.
Practical information
Participants are expected to attend the full-day programme on 6 October.
Bus transport will be provided from Brussels to both locations. Participants may also choose to travel directly to the venues in Leuven or West Flanders.
Lunch will be provided and offers an opportunity for networking and peer learning.
The transnational activities can be combined with EASPD's Annual Conference and 30th Anniversary celebrations, which will be held on Monday, 5 October and Wednesday, 7 October 2026, in Brussels. In case you want to attend EASPD's Annual Conference, you need to register separately for the Annual Conference.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights and accommodation. Selected organisations may receive a lump sum contribution of EUR 200, EUR 300, EUR 450 or EUR 600 towards their travel, accommodation and subsistence costs. The amount awarded depends on the distance between the applicant's registered office and the venue.
